What we covered in class on Monday, January 16: We finished the above-mentioned activity + watched this video on the power of introverts + started the B2.1 booklet (p1-4)

Homework for Friday, January 20: Read this article by The BBC on the #Ilooklikeanengineer case we discussed in class.  

What we covered in class on Friday, January 20: Booklet p5-6, we watched this video and started working on presentations due on January 30th. Each group has to find an invention they find particularly striking in a given decade and present it along these lines: Historical background, problem that needs solving, information on the inventor(s), how they came up with the idea etc. + impact and consequences on society as a whole. You will have to compile the information from at least 3 different sources which you will identify at the end of the presentation. You CANNOT plagiarise and will have to paraphrase everythingThese are the decades assigned so far. You may choose another decade or join an existing group if you failed to come to class today.

Homework for Monday, January 23: Press review + finish reading the text p6 ("The challenges of engineering today") and try to deduce/infer the meaning of the words you don't understand using the technique we covered today.
