What we covered in class on Monday: We continued with the dossier on civil rights in America and viewed these 3 documents:

We then debated on racial bias both in America and in Spain.

Homework for Wednesday: Read this NYTimes article on the topic (if you feel like it :)

What we covered in class on Wednesday: Introduction to translation.

Stage 1: we analyzed an appallingly bad translation along with its possible consequences ;)

Stage 2: in pairs you had a go at translating this text back into English

Homework for Monday, April 20: Bring all the supplementary material (texts, articles) we covered during the second semester, we'll do a vocab revision activity.
